The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will initially operate as a standalone sales professional, responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships across multiple market channels. As the business continues to expand, you will have the opportunity to recruit, develop, and lead your own sales team.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in increasing brand visibility, securing new accounts, expanding market share, and delivering sustainable growth both within the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Drive new business development activities across on-trade, off-trade, wholesale, distribution, and export markets.
- Identify, approach, and secure new commercial partnerships and key accounts.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring exceptional levels of service and account performance.
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and customer meetings both within the UK and overseas.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform sales strategy.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing structures to maximise profitability while maintaining long-term partnerships.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates for senior management.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and operational teams to support product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Establish and refine sales processes, systems, and performance metrics.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a sales team as the business expands.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of delivering sales growth and developing strong commercial relationships.
You will possess:
- Significant experience in a business development, account management, or sales management role.
- A demonstrable history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- The confidence and credibility to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK and internationally as required.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
Whilst experience within the beverage sector would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from candidates with strong sales backgrounds gained in other sectors where relationship management, business development, and strategic growth have been central to success.
Experience of selling into any of the following markets would be particularly beneficial:
- Hospitality and leisure.
- Food and beverage.
- FMCG.
- Wholesale and distribution.
- Premium or luxury brands.
- International markets and export sales.
