Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher to join our vibrant primary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to children in Key Stage 1, fostering a positive learning environment that promotes academic growth and personal development. Duties
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS1 pupils.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing tailored support to meet individual needs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a respectful and orderly classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student wellbeing and development.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular activities that complement the curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other relevant documentation.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe, inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching early years or primary education, particularly within Key Stage 1.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and development stages.
- Demonstrated ability in behaviour management techniques suitable for young children.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum requirements for KS1 learners.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent is essential.
