Job Description
Driver Hire Blackburn are currently recruiting Class 1 Night Drivers (C+E) for regular night shifts starting at approx 18:00pm in the Blackburn area.
This role involves trunking and trailer swaps, with no handball, some runs do involve delivering to unmanned depots as a 2 person crew. Perfect for drivers who enjoy steady, predictable night work.
Key Duties
- Drive and operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on night trunking routes
- Complete trailer swaps then return to base
- Some runs a 2 person crew delivering to unmanned sites
- Carry out walk-around checks and keep vehicle defect-free
- Complete all paperwork and driving records correctly
- Follow all DVSA regulations, Working Time rules, and company policiesRequirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in night driving or trunking preferred
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to safety and detail
