Café Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the café. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
- Serve customers with a friendly and helpful attitude, ensuring their needs are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment
- Support catering activities by preparing food items and assisting with event setups
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently when required
- Assist in restocking supplies and inventory management
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential
- Experience in food preparation or catering is advantageous
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer service
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred
- Bartending skills would be considered a plus
