Nursing Assistant – Paediatric, Neonatal & Adult Complex Care

£25,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week – rota-based shifts including evenings, weekends & bank holidays where required.
Verve Homecare Sussex is looking for compassionate, professional, and reliable Nursing Assistants to join our growing complex care and community support team across Sussex.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with healthcare experience, including overseas nursing backgrounds, who are passionate about delivering high-quality person-centred care within paediatric, neonatal, and adult complex care environments.
About the Role
You will work alongside experienced Clinical Leads, Registered Nurses, and healthcare professionals supporting children, neonates, and adults with:
- Long-term health conditions
- Physical disabilities
- Neurological conditions
- Rehabilitation needs
- Complex healthcare requirements including tracheostomy and ventilation support
You will provide personal care, support daily living activities, assist with mobility, monitor wellbeing, and contribute to safe, compassionate care delivery within supported living, domiciliary care, and community healthcare settings.
What We’re Looking For
✔ Previous health or social care experience
✔ Caring, professional, and compassionate approach
✔ Good communication and teamwork skills
✔ Understanding of dignity, safeguarding & person-centred care
✔ Flexibility to work rota-based shifts
✔ Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification desirable
✔ Previous experience within paediatric, neonatal, complex care, rehabilitation, or community healthcare settings desirable
✔ Overseas nursing or international healthcare experience welcomed
For Nursing Assistants with overseas nursing qualifications or international clinical registration, the allocated Clinical Lead Nurse will also provide guidance and professional support to assist their transition into UK healthcare practice and support their progression towards future Nursing and Midwifery Council registration pathways where applicable. This includes mentoring, clinical development support, competency guidance, and ongoing encouragement to help them adapt confidently to UK care standards, professional expectations, and regulated healthcare environments.
