Role: Activities Co-ordinator
Location: Oakham
Contract: Full Time
Hours: Full time - Includes alternate weekends
Salary: £14.38 per hour
Edenvale Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator to join our client’s care service.
Job overview
To plan, organise and deliver engaging, meaningful activities that promote the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of residents. To encourage independence and improve quality of life through personalised activity programmes.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Planning and delivering resident-led activities
- Encouraging participation and social interaction
- Providing stimulating physical and mental activities
- Supporting residents to maintain independence
- Building strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues
- Developing and maintaining links with the local community
- Supporting residents to attend external appointments and off-site activities
- Maintaining professionalism and high standards of care at all times
We are looking for someone with:
- A warm, engaging and enthusiastic personality
- Experience in a similar activities care-based role (essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with groups and individuals
- A creative and flexible approach to activity planning
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
