WHAM Theatre Schools is looking for a Fantastic Assistant Teacher who can support Musical Theatre Jazz (Triple Threat Ideal) on a Permanent Part-Time Basis in Wymondham, Norfolk (close to Norwich), and Temporary Part-Time Basis in Hethersett.
WHAM Theatre Schools is a Performing Arts Network, offering affordable triple-threat Musical Theatre classes in Dance, Drama and Singing!
Our ethos is to keep our young performers enthusiastic, happy and content within our unique training system. We do not believe in a competitive-aggressive / "fame hungry" attitude towards performing arts, but to be able to cater for those who would like to gain confidence but at the other end of the scale, support those students who are serious about progressing further as a performer.
We require an experienced & suitably qualified person who can assist with the following:
MUSICAL THEATRE ASSISTANT:
· WHAM BAMZ, JUNIORS AND SENIORS - classes in Dance/Drama/Singing
Our classes run every:
- Tuesday between 3.15pm to 5.20pm ( Musical Theatre) - Wymondham
- Thursday between 4.00pm to 6.15pm ( Musical Theatre) - Hethersett
Applicants MUST have dance / performance skills, have dance training / experience, and had some teaching experience.
Your application will be declined if you aren't suitably qualified.
This role would suit someone who is a retired performer, and isn't still touring and able to commit to each week. We expect any applicants to understand the importance of consistency, when teaching young children.
Please do not apply if you are the type of person that would have no issue letting our students down on the morning of their classes. You will be rewarded well if you remain committed.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A Performing Arts Degree / Previous Training from a recognised School / Qualifications or relevant experience is absolutely essential along with a fun and charismatic persona to inspire our students!
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required, or be willing to obtain one
- A First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
- Online Child Protection and Safeguarding Training will be a compulsory condition of accepting the role. (or be willing to complete training)
Interviews will take place in Norwich (or online), and candidates will be expected to support a class with the Teacher.
