Overview
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Commercial and/or Residential Property Lawyer to join our Property team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and residential law, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide sound advice to businesses. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and a proactive approach to legal challenges, ensuring that our clients' interests are protected while fostering positive business relationships.
Duties
- Provide expert legal advice on a variety of commercial and/or residential property matters, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in negotiations with third parties, ensuring favourable terms and conditions are achieved.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide informed recommendations.
- Advise clients on risk management strategies and compliance issues related to their business operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting commercial and/or residential property law and advise clients accordingly.

- Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients while maintaining professional relationships.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal documents and identify potential issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear articulation of legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Ability to manage own caseload independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges. Experience:
- Preferably 2 years PQE but less experience considered.
