We are currently seeking an attentive and empathic teaching assistant to join our school in Stockport.
Some of the job requirements would be as follows:
- Work with groups of children under the supervision of the teacher including the delivery of programmes of work and implementation of support plans
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Give regular feedback on children’s development to the class teacher and file records.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience of working with young people of primary/secondary school age
- An empathic approach to behaviour management
- The ability to support teaching and learning within a special needs environment to a dedicated group of students
- Modelling and encouraging appropriate social behaviour in and out of school whilst catering for the general welfare of students.
