Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated 11+ and KS1 & KS2 Tutor who holds a valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective tuition to students preparing for 11+ examinations as well as supporting pupils in KS1 and KS2. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners’ academic progress and confidence. The tutor will work closely with children, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs within a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver specialised tuition sessions for students preparing for 11+ exams, ensuring content aligns with examination requirements.
- Provide targeted support to KS1 and KS2 pupils, fostering their understanding across core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science.
- Develop personalised learning programmes that cater to the unique needs of each student, including those with special educational needs.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to maximise learning outcomes.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student development, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation and confidence building.
- Organise and manage resources effectively to enhance the learning experience.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching children across primary school levels, particularly KS1 & KS2.
- Strong knowledge of the 11+ examination syllabus and preparation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging children and building positive relationships.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and needs, including special education requirements.
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively and manage time efficiently during sessions.
- Passionate about education with a genuine interest in supporting children's academic development.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
