Home Instead is the world’s leading provider for home care and companionship services for older people. Please note you must be able to attend training in Leek prior to the start date, so you must live locally and be able to travel reliably.
We are looking for a match to care for a couple that lives in Bakewell.
As a Live In Carer, you will be paid £1015 per week. In addition to this you will receive a £60 meal allowance each week (total £1075), along with a separate room to stay in at your client's home and excellent training.
Whilst with your clients you can expect to work on average 8-10 hours per day. You will get a breaks as necessary, where you are free to leave the client's home and rest.
We'll always be on hand to support - you'll receive regular check-ins, ongoing traning, support visits, and you can reach us any time on our 24hr on-call phone.
Responsibilities:
- Get to know your clients, and understand how you can best support their daily routine to allow them to live their life to the fullest.
- Assist with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and medication.
- Ensure the home is clean and tidy, aiding with housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, hoovering and laundry.
- Act as a companion, and enrich your clients' life by spending time with them, socialising, and doing fun activities together.
- Cook your client's favourite meals and support them at meal times.
- Complete accurate notes and records, informing the office of any concerns.
Requirements:
- Friendly personality, able to build trusting relationships
- Reliability and trustworthiness
- Any care-related experience, whether professional or personal, is advantageous
- Ability to commit to a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off pattern
- Your own Right To Work - unfortunately, we do not have a licence for sponsorship so this is not something we can offer
- Must live nearby to Bakewell and be able to commute to the Leek office for training.
