Apollo Recruitment Solutions is recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers for an ongoing multidrop delivery role based in Tamworth. This is a long-term opportunity offering consistent work, strong pay, and a physically active role within the logistics sector.
The Role:
- Class 2 (Category C) multidrop deliveries
- Heavy handball involved - 15-20 drops a day
- Delivering chilled and frozen food products
- Unloading stock into customer premises (may include full pallets)
- Working in chilled and frozen environments (suitable warm clothing required)
- Start times between 4am and 7am
- Physically demanding role suited to active drivers
Training and Assessment:
- Interview and assessment day lasting up to 6 hours
- Driving assessment
- Face-to-face interview
- Short CPC-based written test
- If successful: 1 week in-store training followed by buddying with an experienced driver
- Uniform supplied after 13 weeks once probation is passed
Pay and Hours:
- £18.34 per hour (OT rate of £21.83)
- Weekly pay (works out to approx £43,630 - £50,545.05pa)
- Ongoing, long-term work
- Temp-to-Perm for the right candidate.
- Start times between 4am-7am
- Average of 10 hour days.
Requirements:
- Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC card
- Digital tachograph card
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
- Right to Work documentation
