Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service delivery
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
- Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Enforce food safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
- Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service
- Contribute ideas for menu development and special promotions
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production especially in English pub
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
- Familiarity with culinary techniques across diverse cuisines is advantageous
