ABOUT US:
Born to Perform Academy is a rapidly growing performing arts academy based in Derby, offering high-level training and performance opportunities to children and young people across a range of styles and pathways. Our competition teams regularly perform and compete throughout the UK, alongside showcases, industry opportunities and professional training experiences.
THE ROLE:
Successful applicants will be responsible for delivering engaging, professional and high-standard training sessions while supporting the development, confidence and progression of our students.
We are looking for teachers who:
- Have strong technical knowledge and teaching ability
- Are experienced working with children and young performers
- Can create inspiring choreography and structured training sessions
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Are reliable, organised and professional
- Work well within an established teaching team
- Understand the expectations and commitment required within a competition environment
The Acro Teacher role should include:
- Safe progression-based acro training
- Flexibility and conditioning work
- Strength and technique development
- Experience with tricks/tumbling progressions is desirable
The Competition Squad role may include:
- Team choreography and rehearsals
- Competition preparation and cleaning
- Conditioning and performance coaching
- Supporting troupe development across varying abilities
Experience within competitive dance/performance environments is preferred.
Hours and days to be discussed, with potential weekday evenings and selected weekends required.
Pay: From £30.00 per hour
