With the desire to meet a growing customer need and to ensure we meet the highest possible standards for our customers We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our innovative, growing company.
You’ll be a member of our brilliant engineering team, contributing to the design of new cutting-edge products. To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on experience using SOLIDWORKS, CAD software, with strong attention to detail and a creative flair.
MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
Working as a design engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties including designing, researching, and prototyping new products. you will have hands-on experience using CAD and CAE software like Solid/works, Inventor plus other software.
A strong attention to detail and an engineering flair to develop and design new systems and machinery.
Responsibilities:
· Research and draft technical schematics, engineering plans, and graphics.
· Analyse design proposals and technical information supplied to identify any possible issues arising during product development, defining, and implementing adequate solutions to reach a feasible proposal.
· Ability to capture and specify the design requirements.
· Research concept ideas using mathematical modelling to work out whether new developments and innovations would work and be cost effective.
· Carry out simulations of products for new and prototype projects using inhouse software for the customer and provide support and feedback on design.
· Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
· Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products.
· Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
· Assess all engineering prototypes to determine issues or risks.
· Coordinate with other engineers, management, and the creative department.
· Improve existing products and processes.
· Ensure compliance with the industry’s safety standards.
· Write detailed reports and manuals.
· Find design solutions to problems.

· A sound knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) (SOLIDWORKS)software, technical drawings and 3D modelling.

· An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
· Ability to plan and organise through several project stages.

· Strong PC skills.
