Teamwork Partnership is recruiting for a Trainee Slitter Operative to join a leading flexible packaging manufacturer.

The Role
As a Trainee Slitter Operative, you will learn how to operate slitting and rewinding machinery, converting large reels of printed or laminated film into finished products that meet customer specifications.
Working alongside experienced operators and team leaders, you will gain hands-on experience in machine operation, quality control, production processes, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and operating slitting and rewinding machines
- Monitor machine performance and product quality during production runs
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
- Safely handle reels of film and finished goods
- Support packing, labelling, and dispatch preparation activities
- Maintain accurate production records and system updates
- Report quality or production issues to supervisors
- Support waste reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and 5S practices
- Assist with machine cleaning, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all health & safety, quality, and BRC standards at all times

Desirable Experience

- Experience working within production environments (although full training will be provided)

Working Hours
- 42 hours per week
- Additional hours may be required depending on business needs
