Service Manager / Proposed Registered Manager – Antonine Allstars
Location: Glasgow Hours: 40 Salary: £20 to £22 an hour, depending on experience Contract: Permanent, subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks and regulatory approval where required.
Antonine Allstars is a Care Inspectorate-registered support service for children and young people with disabilities and additional support needs.
We are seeking an exceptional, experienced service leader to take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, quality, safety and development of the service. This is a pivotal role for someone with strong operational judgement, safeguarding knowledge, workforce leadership skills and the confidence to lead a service through a period of improvement and development.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Centre Director, Board of Directors, Operations Manager, Allstars Leaders and Quality Improvement and Compliance Lead to strengthen practice, quality assurance, governance and regulatory compliance across Allstars.
Essential Requirements
· A relevant professional or vocational qualification in social care, health and social care, social work, education, nursing, youth work, community learning and development or a related discipline, normally at SCQF Level 7 or above.
· Significant leadership or management experience within a children’s disability, ASN, social care, respite, short-breaks, youth support or comparable regulated/commissioned service.
· Demonstrable experience of safeguarding and child protection, risk management, staff supervision, quality assurance and partnership working.
· Experience supporting children and young people with additional support needs, including communication needs, personal care, medication, distressed behaviour and/or complex support requirements.
· Strong understanding of Care Inspectorate expectations, the Health and Social Care Standards, children’s rights and safe service delivery.
· Excellent leadership, communication, organisation, report-writing and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to meet the Care Inspectorate’s fitness and competence requirements for the manager of the registered service.
Desirable Requirements
· Previous Registered Manager, Service Manager, Depute Manager or equivalent senior leadership experience.
· Experience leading a service through inspection improvement work, regulatory requirements or significant quality improvement.
· SVQ Level 4 in Children and Young People, Childhood Practice, Social Services and Healthcare, or another relevant SCQF Level 9 qualification.
· Management or leadership qualification at SCQF Level 9 or above.
· Current or previous SSSC registration in a relevant social care role, where applicable.
· Experience of working with commissioners, social work, education, health professionals and families.
· Experience of audit systems, service improvement plans, risk registers and Board reporting.
Regulatory Position
Antonine Allstars is registered as a support service for children with disabilities. The appointment will be subject to satisfactory PVG membership, references, right-to-work and qualification checks, and confirmation that the successful candidate meets all Care Inspectorate requirements for the management of the registered service, including any applicable professional registration requirements.
Pay: £20.00-£22.00 per hour
