Responsibilities
- Manage daily café operations, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and lead a team of staff, providing guidance and support in their roles.
- Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while managing costs effectively.
- Implement training programs for new employees on food safety practices and café procedures.
- Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the café, including kitchen areas and dining spaces.
Skills
- Proven experience in a restaurant or café management role is essential.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Strong supervisory skills with a focus on leadership and development of team members.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and staff alike.
