Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join a team based throughout Cornwall The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical regulations, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment
- Carry out inspections and testing to ensure compliance with current regulations
- Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety standards
- Liaise with customers, contractors, and team members professionally
- Complete relevant documentation and certification
- Respond to emergency call-outs where required
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (preferred)
- AM2 qualification (preferred)
- Proven experience as an electrician
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- Experience with renewable energy systems
- Testing and inspection qualifications (2391 or equivalent)
- Experience in domestic and/or commercial environments
