Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional individual to join our team as a Bar/Front of House supervisor. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively and welcoming environment, ensuring guests have a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system
- Serve drinks and meals efficiently, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, and service areas throughout shifts
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, providing correct change when necessary
- Assist with organising reservations and managing waiting lists during busy periods
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health & safety regulations
- Support team members to deliver exceptional customer service at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service operations
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is a must
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
