As a Youth & Play Worker, you will facilitate and support children and young people's self-directed play, helping to create a stimulating, challenging and inclusive environment where young people feel valued, safe and empowered.Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider community, you will help deliver a broad programme of activities that encourages participation, creativity, learning and positive wellbeing.

We are seeking passionate, energetic and professional Youth & Play Workers to help deliver inclusive, safe, free and exciting play opportunities for children, young people and families.
The Vench is a much-loved adventure playground and community centre at the heart of Lockleaze. For over 50 years, we have inspired imaginative play in a safe, supportive and fun environment, helping children and young people develop confidence, resilience and lifelong skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of local children and young people while working as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
What We're Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Understand the value of play and youth work in supporting healthy development.
- Have experience working with children, young people or families in a community, educational, youth work or play setting.
- Can build positive relationships and engage effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Are reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a team.
An Enhanced DBS Check with Children's Barred List checks will be required for this role.
