Overview
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical knowledge and effective use of tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, filters)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Inspect vehicles to identify issues
- Use diagnostic tools to resolve complex problems
- Complete repairs such as engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Maintain accurate service records
- Ensure work meets quality and time standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Physically capable of manual work
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Valid commercial vehicle qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial vehicle maintenance
- Full UK driving licence
- MOT certification
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced diagnostics and repairs
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance
- Complete inspections and maintain accurate records
- Work independently to high quality and safety standards
Technical Competencies
- Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Strong electrical system knowledge
- Experience with modern diagnostic equipment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
