Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home care and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding any changes in client condition or needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Support clients with IT-related tasks if necessary, helping them stay connected with family and friends.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and their families.
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
- Familiarity with care home environments and care plans is beneficial.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of each client is essential for success in this role.
