Job Objective:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the precision and accuracy of our products through meticulous measurement and quality assurance processes. This role requires expertise in metrology to maintain the highest standards of product quality. Role:
· Measurement Management: Oversee the measurement requirements for operations, including moulding validations, in-process inspections, and non-conformance investigations.
· Programming a Zeiss CMM, requesting required fixturing and performing Measurement system analysis.
· Collaboration with Verification Services: Work closely with the Verification Services team to facilitate the transition from operational qualification to production qualification.
· Precision Measurement: Conducting accurate measurements of products and components using various metrology tools and equipment.
· Inspection: Inspecting products and components to verify they meet quality standards and specifications.
· Data Analysis: Analysing measurement data to identify trends, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement.
· Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of measurements, calibrations, and inspections for quality assurance purposes.
· Compliance: Ensuring all processes and products comply with industry standards and regulations.
· Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving measurement-related issues or discrepancies.
· Collaboration: Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
· Training: Providing guidance and training to other team members on metrology practices and equipment use.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Experience programming and using Zeiss CMMs and the calypso software they use.
· Previous experience in a metrology role.
· Relevant certifications in metrology or quality assurance are a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· Strong analytical skills to interpret measurement data and identify trends or discrepancies.
· Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve measurement-related issues.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail in conducting measurements and inspections.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and collaboration with team members.
· Ability to maintain detailed records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
· A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions.
· Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and documentation, such as Microsoft Office Suite and specialized metrology software.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £13.80-£18.00 per hour
