We are looking for Forensic Support Workers to work with adults in the Accrington/East Lancs area in their own supported tenancies. Working one to one and part of a team, you will support adults with substance misuse, mental health complexities and a criminal background.
If you are passionate about rehabilitation, and supporting people to turn their lives around, we recommend this.
You will work with the same clients each week to build up a relationship, and in turn will support them with day to day activities, accessing the local community, and helping others.
The role is full time, a mix of 9am-5pm or 5pm-11pm plus a sleep. Sleeps are paid additionally at £67 per sleep, and there is an expectation to do two per week. You get one in every two weekends completely off.
Duties
- Assist with daily routines and behavioural management for individuals
- Work one to one and sometimes as a team on group activities
- Administer medication following prescribed protocols, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review personalised care plans.
- Engage in activities that promote socialisation, learning, and development tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, behaviours, and progress in compliance with organisational policies.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year as a support worker is essential, or with a psychology degree.
- Driver with access to own vehicle is preferred, but we will consider non drivers too.
- NVQ 2 Health and Social Care is desirable, but we will consider without.
