The Opportunity
Our client is looking to recruit an Automotive Parts & Customer Reception Specialist to join their busy vehicle repair operation. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys customer interaction, workshop coordination and day-to-day parts administration.
The role would suit a reliable and organised individual with strong communication skills, good computer confidence and the ability to keep things moving in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Responsibilities
· Meet and greet customers as they drop off vehicles for repair work.
· Prepare and assemble job packs for the workshop team.
· Contact customers to arrange vehicle bookings, updates and collections.
· Carry out vehicle appraisal inspections.
· Liaise with insurers and claims management companies to provide progress updates.
· Accept, check and record inbound parts deliveries.
· Price, order and confirm parts availability with local suppliers.
· Coordinate subcontractors attending site for additional vehicle-related work.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be professional, approachable and proactive, with the confidence to deal with customers, suppliers and internal teams. Previous experience in an automotive, bodyshop, parts or customer service environment would be advantageous.
Skills & Experience Required
· Confident communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
· Comfortable speaking with customers face to face and over the phone.
· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and email systems.
· Experience taking card payments or handling payments by other methods.
· Strong organisation, reliability and good timekeeping.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Own transport to commute to and from the workplace.
· Availability to work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. (tbc)
