The role:
To operate the catering facility at one of our main campuses, ensuring the production of great quality food, in high volumes and to a high standard. The role is responsible for ordering, menu planning, cooking, cleaning, and till operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook the food to a high standard
-
Deliver exceptional customer service
-
Provide buffets/hospitality when ordered
-
Complete all relevant food safety paperwork
-
Review and contribute to menu creation.

Ensure all allergen information is supplied and correct
-
Monitoring food production, quality, quantities and portion control
-
Provide a team briefing daily
-
Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment to a Level 5 Food Safety rating, ensuring all cleaning schedules are completed to a high standard and report any issues promptly

Ordering and receiving food and non-food items from our suppliers

Cash handling
-
Deputise in the absence of the Manager
About you:
-
NVQ level 2 in Food Preparation, or equivalent qualification
-
Previous experience of cooking or assisting in a catering kitchen environment
-
Ability to work efficiently and under pressure.
