DELI MANAGER / CHEF MANAGER
Centra Trackside
Full-Time Position | Early Morning Shift (6:00am – 3:00pm)
Centra Trackside is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Deli Manager / Chef to lead our deli and fresh food department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate food professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality food, excellent customer service, and strong team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the deli and kitchen.
- Prepare and oversee the production of fresh food offerings to the highest standards.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and freshness throughout the day.
- Manage stock control, ordering, waste management, and food margins.
- Drive sales through product innovation, merchandising, and promotional activity.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Work closely with store management to achieve department targets and business goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a deli, kitchen, catering, or food service role.
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills.
- Previous experience leading and managing a team.
- HACCP and food safety knowledge essential.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards.
- Passion for fresh food, customer service, and team development.
- Experience within a Centra, SuperValu, Spar, Applegreen, or similar retail food environment is an advantage.
