Our client is looking for a Welding Team Leader to work at their site in County Tyrone.
As a Team Leader for the Welding department, you will support in daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved.
Pay rate: Competitive, based on experience
Hours of Work: Monday - Wednesday 3.45pm - 2.15am, Thursday 3.45pm - 1.15am
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee welding operations, ensuring all work complies with technical specifications and safety regulations.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete sheet metal and assembly tasks efficiently.
- Conduct quality inspections on welded components, identifying defects or issues for rectification.
- Coordinate with production planners to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and report progress to management regularly.
- Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety policies, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist in the development of welding procedures and training programmes for team members.
Experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and assembly work.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment used in welding and fabrication environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles relevant to welding operations.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing or fabrication setting is highly desirable.
