Teach South are proud to be supporting a highly regarded specialist school in Poole that caters for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex physical needs.
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join this exceptional team on a full-time basis. This role will begin on a temporary contract, with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful 12-week probation period.
About the Role
You will work closely with pupils who have a range of physical disabilities and additional learning needs, providing support both in the classroom and throughout the school day. The role is varied, rewarding, and offers the chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
- Assisting with mobility and physical support needs.
- Providing personal care where required.
- Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all pupils.
What We're Looking For
Previous school experience is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and experience from sectors such as:
