Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and English Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire students to develop a love of reading, writing, and literature.
- Create a positive, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Uphold the Islamic ethos and values of the school.
Skills
Please note: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE is not required for this role. We value relevant experience, subject expertise, and the ability to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience (school, college, tuition centre, or similar).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- A willingness to contribute positively to the wider school community.
