Following a recent £15M expansion of our Croydon operations, Wing Yip—the UK's premier Oriental food specialist—is looking for a hands-on Senior Retail Assistant with leadership potential. This is a pivotal role designed for an individual who can bridge the gap between floor operations and team supervision, ensuring our 50-year heritage of excellence continues to grow.

Core Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Coordinate daily activities across departments to maximize efficiency and maintain high safety standards.
- Inventory & Merchandising: Lead stock management efforts, ensuring precise pricing, expiry monitoring, and inventory accuracy.
- Elevated Customer Service: Act as a point of escalation for complex queries, providing professional and knowledgeable service.
- Mentorship: Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, fostering a culture of high performance and collaborative growth.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure the team strictly follows food hygiene, chilled/frozen handling, and Health & Safety protocols.
What You Bring
- Proven Experience: At least 1 year in a fast-paced retail or warehouse environment.
- Leadership Aptitude: Previous supervisory experience or a strong track record as a "Key Holder" is highly preferred.
- Technical Literacy: Confident professional use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Communication: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a significant asset to our diverse team.
- Reliability: We are seeking candidates committed to a long-term (12+ months) career path.
