The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for young people
- Promote confidence, independence and positive relationships
- Support young people to participate in decisions about their care and future
- Lead shifts and support colleagues to maintain high standards of care
- Complete accurate recordings, reports and care documentation
- Build positive relationships with families, social workers and other professionals
- Support young people through important life transitions
- Act as a positive role model and mentor for both young people and staff
- Contribute to a culture focused on achieving the very best outcomes for children
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience working within Residential Children's Care
- Previous Senior Residential Support Worker experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Resilience, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for supporting young people
- Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day rota
Desirable:
- Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience leading shifts and supporting staff teams
Pay & Hours
- £13.96 - £14.21 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
- Fixed sleep-in payment for overnight duties
- Full-time contract based on approximately 40 hours per week
