Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Baby Room Leader to join our team on a job share basis three days per week (Monday-Wednesday). This role involves leading and supporting a team within our nursery environment, ensuring the highest standards of care and development for infants. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating atmosphere for young children, fostering their early learning experiences. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the baby room team, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to nursery policies.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early development and learning.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that meets all health and safety regulations.
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents during meetings.
- Support colleagues with their responsibilities, offering guidance and mentorship where needed.
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations and company policies at all times.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes to enhance children's experiences.
Experience
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Extensive working knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Experience working directly with children, particularly in infant care or baby rooms.
- Nursery experience is essential, with a strong understanding of child development stages.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or visits.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards in childcare environments is required. Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
