What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A genuine passion for Hairdressing (Barbering experience preferred but not essential) and a commitment to developing young talent.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners from a variety of backgrounds.
- Creativity and confidence when delivering both group training sessions and one-to-one support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and learner targets effectively.
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learner success.
- D32/D33, A1, or CAVA Assessor qualifications (preferred but not essential).
- Significant industry experience in Hairdressing.
The Role
As a Tutor/Assessor, you will play a vital role in supporting apprentices and learners throughout their journey, helping them develop the technical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess Apprenticeship Standards in:
- Hairdressing Level 2
- Hairdressing Level 3
- Barbering Level 2 (Barbering experience preferred but not essential)
- Barbering Level 3 (Barbering experience preferred but not essential)
- Provide engaging, inspiring, and interactive training sessions, workshops, and assessments.
- Support learners in developing both their technical abilities and employability skills.
- Monitor learner progress, set achievable targets, and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct workplace visits and assessments, ensuring learners remain on track with their individual learning plans.
- Work closely with employers to maintain high standards of training and learner achievement.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of new apprenticeship standards and programmes.
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and deliver training that reflects current trends, techniques, and best practices.
