The Role
We at Austin Leisure currently have an open vacancy:
We are looking for a Amusement Machine Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines technical skill with customer service. We are looking preferably for an already experienced person in the industry to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Moving, installing, and setting up amusement equipment in pubs and venues as well as sound systems.
- Responding to service calls and repairing fruit machines
- Ensuring machines are serviced and maintained, including operational checks
- Using a company van for daily work and travel
- Participating in an on-call rota (1 week in 3), covering evening service needs, an average of 37.5 Hours per week (based off of a 3 week cycle)
What We’re Looking For
- Practical, hands-on skills with mechanical/electrical equipment
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
- Reliability and trustworthiness when handling cash
- Good communication skills for working with pub staff and customers
- Flexibility to cover occasional evening call-outs

Requirements
- Full training provided — previous experience helpful but not essential
- Manual driving licence required
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
- Preferably have knowledge and interest in computers and computer systems
- Industry experience is very much wanted
Salary: £24,000–£30,000 per year, depending on experience. We are looking for someone with prior industry experience, and candidates with strong, relevant background will be offered up to £30,000 starting. Applicants without direct experience are still welcome to apply and may be offered a starting salary below £30,000, with opportunities to increase as skills develop.
