We are looking for a reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team. This is a unique role offering part time hours, with the ideal candidate being flexible enough to provide additional cover for staff holidays, peak periods, and sickness.
This position is perfect for someone looking for stable part-time hours but who also has the availability and willingness to pick up extra shifts when the practice needs it.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any queries they may have
- Maintain accurate patient records using R4 Carestream systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and reception duties
- Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and external suppliers to ensure seamless clinic operations
Experience
- Previous experience in dental nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Patient care experience is highly valued, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
