Overview:
- Responsible for leading landscaping teams on site and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Hands-on working foreman role combining practical landscaping skills with leadership and site management
- Acts as the main point of contact between site operatives, management, and clients
Key Responsibilities
Hard Landscaping (including but not limited to)
- Installation of fencing
- Paving and patios (block paving, slabs, stone, etc.)
- Decking installation (timber and composite)
- Groundworks, including excavation and preparation
- Walling (brick, block, stone, and retaining walls)
- Driveway construction and finishes
- Setting out works from drawings and plans
- Ensuring correct levels, falls, and drainage
Soft Landscaping (including but not limited to)
- Large tree planting, including staking and aftercare
- General planting (shrubs, hedging, beds, borders)
- Turfing (natural and artificial)
- Installation of irrigation systems
- Soil preparation and improvement
Foreman / Supervisory Duties
- Supervise and lead a team of landscapers on site
- Allocate daily tasks and manage workload efficiently
- Ensure work is completed to specification, on time, and within budget
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and site presentation
- Monitor quality control and correct issues as they arise
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers
- Order materials and manage deliveries
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in hard and soft landscaping
- Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work from plans and specifications
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Physically fit and capable of hands-on work
- Full UK driving licence
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £42,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
