Aspira Education are recruiting a confident and compassionate Nurture Teacher to work with a small cohort of pupils within a specialist school setting. Pupils follow the national curriculum but require a highly adapted and relational approach to learning.
This is a highly supportive environment working with pupils who present with ASD, anxiety, SEMH needs, and communication difficulties, where consistency and strong relationships are key.
Hours
40 hours per week
- Monday / Wednesday / Thursday: 8.15am – 4.45pm
- Tuesday: 8.15am – 5.00pm
- Friday: 8.15am – 4.00pm
About the Role
As a Nurture Teacher you will:
- Deliver adapted lessons aligned with the national curriculum for a small classes across the KS3 & 4.
- Differentiate learning to support pupils working below age-related expectations.
- Build strong relationships to support engagement, regulation, and confidence.
- Create a calm, structured classroom with clear expectations and routines.
- Use consistent behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
- Work closely with TAs, pastoral staff, and therapists to support whole-child development.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who:
- QTS is desirable however if you have strong teaching experience this would also be accepted (experience is highly desirable).
- Are confident teaching core subjects across KS2/KS3/KS4 level.
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD, or anxiety needs.
- Can remain calm, consistent, and solution-focused under pressure.
- Build rapport quickly and maintain strong boundaries.
Presence, patience, and consistency matter most in this setting.

- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two recent references
- A willingness to complete safeguarding training with Aspira
- Ability to start ASAP
