Reid Contracts Limited / Darren Reid Gardening Services are seeking an experienced Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with proven experience within the grounds maintenance or gardening industry who can work to a high standard from day one.
The successful candidate will work across a variety of commercial and domestic sites throughout Tayside, carrying out all aspects of grounds maintenance while taking pride in the quality of work delivered. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, professional and takes ownership of the role.
Responsibilities
- Carry out commercial and domestic grounds maintenance to a consistently high standard.
- Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride-on mowers.
- Strimming, edging and leaf clearance.
- Hedge cutting, shrub pruning and general horticultural maintenance.
- Weed control and spraying (PA1/PA6 desirable but not essential).
- Planting and seasonal horticultural works.
- Driving company vans and towing large trailers.
- Carrying out daily vehicle and machinery checks.
- Looking after company vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Working independently or as part of a team.
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within grounds maintenance or professional gardening.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Confident towing trailers.
- Experience operating commercial grounds maintenance machinery.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Reliable, punctual and well presented.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Desirable
- PA1 & PA6 Certificates.
- Trailer towing experience.
- Ride-on mower experience.
- Horticultural qualifications.
- First Aid qualification.

Pay: £29,614.00-£33,462.00 per year
