Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire
Our client is looking for an experienced Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter to join their team. The role involves carrying out repairs, maintenance and electrical installations on heavy plant, road rail vehicles and associated equipment.
Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Overview

Carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance on heavy plant and road rail vehicles.

Install wiring looms and electrical components.

Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.

Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and schematics.

Build and assemble mechanical components.

Use hand tools and equipment to a high standard.

Work both at the depot and customer sites as required.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Requirements

Strong electrical and mechanical background.

Previous fitting and assembly experience.

Experience working on heavy plant, HGV, quarry, waste, mining or similar equipment (car experience only is not suitable).

Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Good communication skills and a strong team ethic.

NVQ Level 3 in Auto Electrical Engineering or equivalent would be advantageous.

Auto Electrical apprenticeship desirable.

Full UK Driving Licence required.
Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Remuneration

£20.00 - £22.00 per hour (dependent on experience).
