The Role:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
- Maintain high standards across prep, service, and presentation
- Work with fresh, seasonal ingredients to deliver a quality menu
- Support training and development of junior chefs
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- Current Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
- Background in quality pubs, fresh food kitchens, or restaurants
- Passionate about food, seasonality, and consistency
- Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills
- A positive team player who leads by example
