This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative finance team where you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting management accounting activities, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of finance processes.
Working closely with an experienced Finance Manager and Management Accountant, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of finance responsibilities whilst developing your accounting knowledge within a friendly and highly supportive environment. Role Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices, financial transactions and ledger entries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond to finance-related queries from colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts through the accurate processing of financial information and journals.
- Maintain financial records and ensure data integrity across accounting systems.
- Assist with financial reconciliations and month-end processes.
- Support the management of rent income, including monitoring balances and assisting with arrears administration.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting documentation.
- Assist with budget monitoring and management information reporting where required.
- Support the wider finance team with administrative and operational finance activities.
- Build positive working relationships across the organisation to provide effective financial support and guidance.
- Contribute to process improvements and support the ongoing development of finance procedures and controls.
- Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and additional duties as required.
Person Specification
- Previous experience working within a finance, accounts or accounting environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Good communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across the organisation.
- Proficient IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
