Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines,
- Interpret technical drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks and other design tools
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimise downtime
- Handle materials safely, ensuring correct placement and securing of workpieces
- Utilise hand tools and tooling to assist with machine setup and minor adjustments
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts, ensuring they meet specifications
- Assist with assembly or other related manufacturing tasks as required
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in joinery, machining, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with CNC programming, and CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar platforms
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, tooling, and materials handling techniques
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during setup and quality assurance processes
- Warehouse experience or background in assembly beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
