Job Title: Placements Officer
Location: Gorleston on Sea, Great Yarmouth
Job Type: Permanent, Part time
Salary – Dependent on Experience
Because every child deserves a home that feels like theirs
At Bespoke Fostering Agency, we believe in doing things differently. We’re small enough to know every foster carer personally, and committed enough to make sure every child is matched with a family who can genuinely meet their needs. Our placements aren’t just about availability — they’re about connection, stability, and giving children the chance to thrive.
We’re now looking for a Placements Officer who shares our values and wants to be part of a team that puts relationships first.
What you’ll be doing
As our Placements Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our service. You’ll work closely with local authorities, foster carers, and our social work team to ensure every child is placed safely, thoughtfully, and with the right support around them.
Your role will include:
- Responding to placement referrals with care, curiosity, and a focus on the child’s story.
- Matching children and young people with foster families who can offer the right environment for them to flourish.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with carers so you understand their strengths, skills, and capacity.
- Working collaboratively with our social workers to support placement stability.
- Keeping accurate records and contributing to the ongoing development of our service.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children in care.
- Experienced in fostering, social care, or a related child-centred field.
- Confident in assessing information and making thoughtful, timely decisions.
- Skilled at building relationships and communicating with warmth and professionalism.
- Calm under pressure, organised, and able to juggle competing priorities.
- Compassionate, resilient, and aligned with our values of honesty, respect, and going above and beyond.
Desirable:
- Experience in placement matching or working directly with foster carers.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice or therapeutic fostering models.
Why Bespoke?
Because we’re exactly that — bespoke. We’re not a large, corporate agency. We’re a close-knit team who genuinely care about each other, our carers, and the children we support. When you join us, you’re not just filling a role — you’re becoming part of a community.
You’ll benefit from:
- A supportive, relational team culture.
- Opportunities to grow, develop, and shape the service.
- A role where your decisions truly change lives.
- Flexibility where possible and a commitment to your wellbeing.
Additional Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional out of hours support.
- Full UK driving licence desirable
