Saltfish is a seafood restaurant and organic wine bar set in the independently owned refurbished Georgian Houndgate Townhouse Hotel in the centre of Darlington. Saltfish will be offering a buzzing trade all day from breakfasts through to dinner service, showcasing fabulous fresh and sustainable seafood cooked on the open fire, freshly shucked oysters, to flamboyant afternoon teas.

Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for hard working and dedicated individuals to join our new kitchen team. You will be working in a newly equipped kitchen preparing freshly made food using local and seasonal produce for our creative menus.
Your main responsibilities will be to learn and carry out food preparation in any area of the kitchen as requested.
You will be at a level capable to run a section in the kitchen as and when requested.
You will be expected to work closely with the team to help deliver our high level standard of service to the customer.

We are offering a competitive starting salary plus tronc. You will be expected to work approximately 45 hours per week, you will be surrounded with great working conditions in a superbly equipped kitchen, and friendly but dedicated team members.
