The Role
As a Finance Assistant, you'll bring strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of purchase ledger processes to ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you'll support the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate records, and help ensure suppliers are paid on time. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key finance activities while developing your skills within a fast-paced and supportive environment.
The Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Accurately code and process supplier invoices
· Reconcile supplier statements and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
· Prepare payment runs and liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries and account matters
· Onboard new suppliers and conduct due diligence checks in line with company policies and compliance requirements
· Record and reconcile outgoing bank payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness
· Monitor and manage shared finance mailboxes, responding to internal and external enquiries promptly and professionally
· Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and the preparation of financial reports
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policies
· Provide administrative support to the Finance Team as required

The Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in a similar role within finance or accounts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
The Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 4:30pm
- 40 hours per week
