Provision open 50 weeks a year (closed for 2 weeks at Christmas). Holiday to be booked and can be taken at anytime during the year subject to approval (post is not term time only)

Working pattern:9:45-6pm Monday to Thursday and 9:30-4:30 on Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch break).
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Pre-School Leader to deputise for our Preschool Leader and work alongside them to oversee and manage our brand new Pre-School Provision at Red Hill Field Primary School in Narborough. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of young learners in a nurturing and stimulating environment, ensuring high standards of childcare and education are maintained.
Duties
- Support the leadership and supervision of the the pre-school team to deliver high-quality childcare and educational programmes
- Support to plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being
- Support and oversee daily operations (in the absence of the Leader), including staff and resource management
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of child development principles and nursery practices
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education (nursery experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
- Passionate about early childhood education with a caring and nurturing approach
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Pay: From £13.90 per hour
