Level 3 Nursery Practitioner - 2posititions available.
Position 1 = 2–5 days per week, full-time or part-time hours available.
Position 2= 1.00pm-6.00pm Monday- Friday
Job Purpose
To provide high-quality care and early years education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted standards. The role involves supporting children's learning, development, wellbeing, and safety while creating a positive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare and Education
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5.
- Plan and implement engaging activities in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted guidance.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with nursery policies and Ofsted expectations.
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
Safeguarding and Welfare
- Always ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children.
- Follow nursery policies and Ofsted statutory requirements.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the nursery.
- Support children with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene.
Partnership with Parents and Carers
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Share updates regarding children’s development and wellbeing in accordance with Ofsted standards.
- Participate in parent meetings and nursery events.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
- Support room leaders in delivering high-quality childcare and learning that meets Ofsted standards.
- Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and training.
Administration
- Maintain accurate records such as observations, learning journals, and accident reports.
- Ensure all documentation complies with Ofsted and nursery policies.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and Ofsted compliance.
- Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
