Social Housing – Decarbonisation & Energy Efficiency | Temp to Perm
Are you an experienced Resident Liaison Officer with a background in Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) works? We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic RLO to join a major energy efficiency contract covering a diverse patch across North and West London.
This is a Temp to Perm opportunity offering immediate work at a competitive rate, with a clear pathway to a permanent career with a leading property services provider. You will play a pivotal role in supporting residents through essential property upgrades designed to improve home comfort and energy efficiency.
The Offer
- Pay Rate: £22.57 per hour
- Contract: Temp to Perm (Long-term stability with a permanent career path)
- Location: Patch coverage includes Tottenham, Hayes, Haringey, Wembley, Finchley, and Camden
- Expenses: Travel expenses are covered at 45p per mile
- Requirements: Must have a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
The Role
You will be the primary point of contact for residents throughout the lifecycle of their property upgrades. This project is specifically focused on decarbonisation measures, including:
- Insulation: Coordinating loft insulation and top-ups
- Ventilation: Managing the installation of fans, trickle vents, and door undercuts to improve airflow
- Smart Tech: Overseeing the installation of Switchee smart home devices
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Engagement: Conducting home visits to explain the benefits of the SHDF works and what to expect during installation
- Access Coordination: Working closely with site teams and residents to ensure high access rates and minimal project delays
- Data Management: Maintaining accurate records and tracking project progress using Microsoft Excel
- Customer Service: Delivering fantastic service by resolving queries on-site and managing resident expectations professionally
- Compliance: Ensuring all resident choices and site visit notes are documented for audit purposes
Requirements
- Experience: Essential. You must have proven experience as an RLO specifically working on Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) projects
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ventilation, insulation, and smart home technology (Switchee) is highly desirable
- IT Skills: You must be well-versed in Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking work orders
- Soft Skills: Professional, enthusiastic, and able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Mobility: A full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory for this role
